The Canada Summer Jobs 2018 Application Period is Open!
Last year, several new Coquitlam-Port Coquitlam businesses and not-for-profit leveraged the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program to create 162 local student summer jobs, an increase of 30 jobs year over year.
Hawthorne Seniors Care Community hired Canada Summer Jobs Students to improve intranet infrastructure, build a digital database, and create a beautiful, therapeutic recreation garden. This summer consider participating in Canada Summer Jobs – hire the leaders of tomorrow, today!
CSJ provides wage funding to not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers, and small businesses to create summer job opportunities for students aged 15 to 30. Many young people have difficulty finding valuable work experience. Canada Summer Jobs is one way that the Government of Canada is helping youth overcome barriers to employment.
